POONCH, May 8: The police arrested a youth and recovered 125 gms of charas from his possession in Surankote area today.
Official sources said that on the directions of SSP Poonch, Dr Vinod Kumar, a Police party of Police Station, Surankote led by Insp Jatinder Singh Sambyal laid a Naka in Surankote town. During naka checking, police party stopped a Scorpio vehicle bearing No. JK12/4443, driven by one Javed Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani, resident of Surankote town, Near Fire Service Station.
During search 125 gm Charas, 63 tablets of Tramadol and Rs 97060 were recovered from the possession of Javed. A case FIR No. 142 /21 u/s 8/20/21 NDPS Act stands registered and investigation of the case was going on.
