SRINAGAR, May 2: A youth was injured today in a shell explosion at Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Police said 27-year-old Reyaz Ahmad Khan of Kakerpati area was on his way towards a nearby rice field when suddenly he stepped in over the shell which exploded with a bang.
He said the youth sustained multiple splinter injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where from he was later referred to SKIMS Soura here for specialized treatment. Police meanwhile registered a case in this regard.
