RAJOURI, Nov 22: A youth committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan hook of a room at his residence at village Mubarakpur near Rajouri this afternoon.
Police sources said that 22-year-old Mohd Tariq, son of Abdul Ahad was found hanging from a ceiling fan hook at round 4.15 pm at his residence. He was rushed to District hospital Rajouri by the family members where he was declared as brought dead.
The police took the body into custody and after conducting postmortem handed over the body to the family for last rites. The police has started investigation under section 174 CrPC. The cause of death was not known immediately.
