RAJOURI, Oct 28: A youth committed suicide by hanging while a poor labourer was charred to death after his hut caught fire last night in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district.
Police sources said that 21-year-old Ashu Sharma, son of Sham Lal from village Teri in Sunderbani was found hanging from ceiling hook at his residence during early morning. The family rushed him to Sunderbani hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. The police has registered a case for investigation.
Meanwhile, a poor labourer Raju Bahadur, son of Ram Singh was burnt alive after his hut (Jhuggi) caught fire under mysterious circumstance in Ward No. 7 Sunderbani last night. Raju was fast asleep when his Jhuggi caught fire during mid night. The police suspects that fire took place due to short circuit. However, a case has been registered at Police Station Sunderbani in this connection.
