JAMMU, June 23: A 29-year-old unmarried youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the youth identified as Ajant Sharma son of Inderjeet Sharma resident of Badyal Brahmana (RS Pura) allegedly ended his life by hanging self with an iron angle at his residence.
On getting information from family members, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Hospital RS Pura, where after conducting post mortem it was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this connection was registered at police station RS Pura and inquest proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
