JAMMU, Mar 1: A 22-year-old youth, who was found unconscious last evening here in a hotel washroom, today expired at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
A police spokesman said that the youth identified as Sunil Kumar son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Resham Ghar, was found in an unconscious condition in one of the washrooms of Hotel Mini Palace, falling within the jurisdiction of City police station, last evening, following which he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he expired late this morning.
He said after conducting post mortem the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
“A case in this connection has been registered at City police station and investigations started to ascertain the cause of the death”, the spokesman said adding prima facie it appears that the man had consumed some poisonous substance.
