JAMMU, Oct 16: A 19-year old youth was today found hanging with a tree in Kangar Morh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the deceased has been identified as Pankaj Kumar son of Kasturi Lal, a resident of Kanger Morh, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Gharota.
He said that the boy was missing since last evening and his body was found this morning when his family members and neighbours launched a search operation in nearby forest area.
On getting information, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting post mortem it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
The police has registered a case and initiated proceedings under 174 CrPC.
