JAMMU, Mar 21: A 20-year-old youth died after he was found hanging inside his rented accommodation in Malik Market area here, officials said.
Salman Miyan, son of Rahim Miyan of Kedar Parsa, Rasulpur, Bihar, at present Umar Colony, Malik Market, Jammu, was spotted hanging from the ceiling fan inside his rented accommodation with the help of a dupatta by his family members on March 20, they said.
Accordingly, he was taken to Government Medical College Jammu the same day, where he breathed his last today.
Officials said the body has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination while inquest proceedings have been initiated to further probe into the matter.
