JAMMU, July 5: The dead body of a young boy of age about 25 years with injuries on his body was found today from Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the boy identified as Sohan Lal son of Ramesh Lal, resident of village Pardha (Akhnoor), was missing since last evening and the family members were searching him on their own.
“However, some locals spotted the body of the youth with injuries on his face as well as body along a bridge on Mera Mandra Road, this evening”, he said, adding they informed the police, who reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary of Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor for post mortem.
The spokesman said prima facie it appears to be a murder. He added that in this connection a case under relevant Sections had been registered at police station Akhnoor and further investigations were underway.
