UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: A youth drowned while taking bath in Nadal Nallah at village Jib Udhampur, here today.
Identity of the drowned youth was established as Ravi Kumar (23), son of Rajinder Singh of Dogra Kud, who was working as a labourer. He along with some friends, was taking bath in the Nallah when he slipped into deep water and drowned.
On being informed, Rehambal Police rushed to the spot and after a two-hour long search operation, the body was fished out and shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem.
The police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead body to family members.
