JAMMU, Apr 2: A youth drowned while taking bath in river Tawi near Chilla area, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli police station.
As per police sources, 25-year-old Vikrant Singh, son of Onkar Singh of Dhoon, Purmandal was taking bath along with his four friends in river Tawi near Chilla, when he drowned.
On getting information, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station led by SDPO Khaliq Choudhary rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service to fish out the body.
Till late night, the body was not fished out when reports were compiled.
To ascertain any foul play, a case has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station.
