RAJOURI, Nov 21: The dead body of a youth hailing from Saranoo, who drowned in the nearby river, could not be traced by police and SDRF teams even after five days.
Official sources said that local youth namely, Ranjeet Singh (27), son of Natha Ram of Saranoo village who had drowned in local river in Saranoo area of Rajouri, could not be traced despite hectic efforts by the police/SDRF teams besides local youths of the area on 5th consecutive day.
It said Army team also joined search operation today. The youth’s belongings including clothes and mobile phone were found on the basis of which sniffer dog was also used in the search operation but body remained untraced.
The parents of Ranjeet revealed that as the clothes and mobile phone were recovered from different locations, it appears that their son might have been done to death by someone. They were worried about his fate. They requested the SSP Rajouri to investigate the case on all possible angles.
