JAMMU, Jan 10: A 22-year-old youth died today due to alleged drug abuse in Bantalab area of city outskirts.
“Shiva Kumar (22) son of Sunil Kumar, resident of Gurha Brahmna (Bantalab) was a drug addict,” a police official said, adding, he was also suffering from TB for which he was taking medicines for last many months
Quoting family members of the deceased, he said today morning Shiva started coughing and having breathing problem after which he was rushed to GMC Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead and cited the death of the reason as drug abuse.
He said Chinore police had taken cognizance of the matter.
