Youth Congress protests over AIIMS issue

JAMMU, July 21: Pradesh Youth Congress today protested against the Government over its failure to sanction AIIMS in Jammu region.
The activists of Youth Congress led by State general secretary, Rajveer Manhas, gathered here at Press Club and burnt the effigy of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh.
While addressing the gathering, Manhas said that in the last month Deputy CM and his Cabinet Ministers from BJP had given the written assurance to the AIIMS coordination committee that they would get it sanctioned before July 20 which they failed to do so.
Demanding the resignation of all the BJP Ministers, Manhas said that BJP Government has played with the emotions of the people of Jammu whether it is AIIMS, two-year B Ed course or recruitment policy.
He said that in the coming days Youth Congress will launch Assembly level protests against the Government for neglecting the aspirations of the people of Jammu.
Pankaj Basotra, Rajan Sharma, Sabir Kohli, Jatinder Chib, Vijay Mangotra and Dheeraj Sharma were also present.
