Youth Cong urged to brace up for bigger assignments

JAMMU, July 11: Carrying on the process of meeting and listening to their problems, J&K Youth Congress organised one day extended State executive meeting at Sainik Farms, here.
The programme was organised by Pranav Shagotra and attended by Sham Lal Sharma, senior vice president JKPCC, Raman Bhalla vice president JKPCC, Rajnish Sharma co–treasurer, Manjit Singh Jatt, secretary JKPCC, Dr Uma Shanker Pandey and Sita Ram Lamba national secretaries IYC.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma attacked BJP-PDP over the deteriorating law and order situation in the State. He said that from the day one of BJP-PDP Government, the subversive forces are being given open arena to promote their anti India agenda.
He alleged that prime reason for failure to control the situation in the State was that the NDA Government at the Centre had not taken any timely action and was supporting PDP.
Sham exhorted the Youth Congress to join hands in strengthening the Congress Party. He also said Youth Congress must act as political ground force.
Raman Bhalla said that Youth Congress is required to play a pivotal role to safeguard the rights of youth of the State, at a time when BJP-PDP combine has abandoned many of earlier existing employment schemes.
He also said that Coalition Government has failed to ensure trouble free Amarnath Yatra  and claimed that worst type of situation has been prevailing here during past few days.
While addressing the meeting, Pranav Shagotra said that youth is the real strength of India and nursery of Congress party, which will take command of the country in future. He said that Congress party will make the role of youth more vibrant in order to nurture them for taking the future challenges of the country. He also asked the youth to popularize the programmes and policies of the party among the people, especially in youth.
“Youth Congress has always been desirous to take everyone on board with regard to equal development of all three regions of the State”, he added.
Addressing the meeting, Uma Shanker Pandey said that youth is the backbone of the country and youth of today  will take future responsibility of  the country. He said that Congress leadership at the Centre conferred huge responsibility on the youth leader Rahul Gandhi who has mobilized the youth power in entire country.
