Youth Cong protests against fuel price hike

POONCH, July 19: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress today intensified its protest against the hike in fuel and LPG prices and sky-rocketing inflation at Surankote in Poonch today.
The protesting workers and activists under the leadership of Uday Chib, president JKPYC burnt the effigy of Modi Govt against inflation amidst anti Modi and anti- BJP slogans.
Talking to reporters on the occasion, Uday castigated the BJP Government for having failed to control inflation and the common people are facing the brunt on account of this spine breaking inflation. He said that petrol and diesel prices are at all-time high having made history; LPG prices have doubled as compared to their prices before 2014 while the prices of vegetables, fruits, edible oils, pulses, eggs and other essentials are out of reach of the common man.
Uday Chib said that while innocent people are suffering badly on account of economic slowdown, unemployment and unbridled inflation besides taking care of their family against the deadly Corona infection, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is busy in expanding his cabinet and planning strategies for the upcoming assembly elections in the states. He said that the woes and miseries of the common man today are attributed to the wrong policies of the BJP Government at the Centre.
PYC leader raised serious concern over the unscheduled power cuts, asking the government to take adequate steps in addressing the problems of the people of the area. Besides, he also appealed to the BJP Government in the Centre in restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Among those who joined the protest included Sikandar Choudhary PYC secretary, Asif -PYC Assembly president, Sarfraz and DYC Poonch office bearers.
