UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan hook in his residence in Shiv Nagar, Udhampur while an unidentified woman was found dead in Birma Nallah.
According to the police report, Aman Kumar, son of Romesh Kumar, resident of Shiv Nagar, Jail road Udhampur, was found hanging from ceiling fan hook in his house under mysterious circumstances. Family member saw him hanging and immediately called the Police.
Later, Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem and registered a case in this connection for further investigation. Apparent cause of suicide could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, in another incident, body of an unidentified female was found in Birma Nallah today evening. The body was shifted to mortuary room of Udhampur District Hospital for identification/ postmortem while inquest proceedings were initiated in this connection at police station Udhampur.
