JAMMU, Dec 13: A 25-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging self in Chatha area of city outskirts.
“The dead body of a youth identified as Bhiru Singh son of Jagir Singh, resident of Govindpura, was found hanging this morning in a meat shop run by his father,” a police official said, adding after postmortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
He said inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC had been initiated in this connection at police station Satwari.
