JAMMU, July 24: A 19-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide today in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
“Aman Thapa son of Hans Raj, resident of Gajia (Miran Sahib) allegedly consumed some poisonous substance. He was found in unconscious condition at his residence by his father, who rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu but doctors there declared him as brought dead,” police sources said.
They said that the body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Miran Sahib.
