JAMMU, Feb 7: IkkJutt Jammu president Ankur Sharma today came out heavily on UT administration’s arbitrary and insensitive decision of withdrawing all job notifications issued prior to 31st October 2019.
In a press conference at Party headquarters, Ankur Sharma said that this action of UT administration defies every logic, especially when the youth of newly formed UT were promised 50 thousand jobs at the time of re-organization. “Instead, this high headed administration has destroyed aspirations of lakhs of youth vying for Government job in different departments from public services to security establishments,” he lamented.
Sharma shared that almost 1500 jobs were at different levels of recruitment process from written held to medical examination completed to under litigation but with some insane logic driving the youth policy of the UT, around 3 to 4 lakhs youth who had applied for these jobs stand cheated by the highest echelons of the Government.
He further added that many of these youth have either exceeded their upper age limit or have let go other viable options as they were confident of getting through the qualification criteria. Ankur also condemned brutal use of force by sleuths of Jammu Kashmir Police on peacefully agitating Border Battalion aspirants, especially the manhandling of girls by the Force. He urged LG Manoj Sinha to order inquiry into the incident so that guilty officers face the consequences.
Concluding his remarks, Ankur Sharma warned UT Government of a massive civil and political backlash, in case this anti-youth, anti-Jammu decision is not taken back at the earliest.
Among others present in press conference were IkkJutt Jammu general secretary Ashwani Sharma, Deepmala Dubey, Harish Kapoor, Ajay Singh Saini, Tilak Raina, Manik Jamwal and other office bearers.
