JAMMU, Mar 16: A youth has been booked for trying to outrage modesty of a lady and later assaulting her in the area falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura Police Station.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station RS Pura stating that a youth identified as Arjun of Ward Number 2 RS Pura tried to outrage her modesty and when she resisted, the youth assaulted her and escaped from the spot.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 48/2020 under sections 354 and 323 IPC has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the youth.
However, no arrest was made till last reports came in.
