UDHAMPUR, Sept 12: A youth allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Kotli Jijjan area, here, a police official said.
The youth identified as 12-year-old Nitin Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh of village Kotli Jijjan, was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur, from where he was later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
Police registered a case in this regard and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
