JAMMU, Nov 24: A 30-year-old youth was today attacked with sword by some miscreants over some old enmity in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the youth identified as Ravi Kumar son of Ramdas, a resident of Bishnah, was on his way to home from a shop at Bishnah, where he was engaged as a helper, when three to four persons intercepted him near village Mehmoodpur and attacked with sword.
“Ravi received serious injuries in the assault and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be serious, when the last reports came in”, the spokesman said, adding, one of the accused has been identified as Mehak Dubey son of Mahesh Kumar Dubey, resident of Nougran (Bishnah).
He said that a case in this connection was registered at police station Bishnah and efforts were on to nab the accused.
