JAMMU, Nov 18: In a drive to stop crimes against women, Akhnoor police arrested a youth for eve teasing.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Akhnoor Police Station arrested a youth, who was teasing the girls by singing obscene songs.
The arrested youth has been identified as Ashwani Kumar, son of Mohinder Lal, a resident of Panjgrain, Tehsil Jourian.
A case under FIR Number 243/17 under Section 294 RPC has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Deep Singh and assisted by ASI Angreez Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
