REASI, Apr 17: A young housewife attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at the house of her in-laws, here today.
The victim, identified as Santosh Devi (32), wife of Om Lal of Reasi, was rushed to hospital by the family members. However, in view of her critical condition, she was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Police has registered a case for investigation into the case while cause behind the suicide attempt was not yet ascertained.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist and his pillion rider were injured when their bike slipped into a gorge near Nou Devian, here today.
The injured were identified as Naresh Kumar (19), son of Ravinder of Reasi and Rabin (18), son of Bindroo of Reasi.
