RAJOURI, Oct 6: With the arrest of three youth, Rajouri police has solved a blind murder of a young girl whose dead body was recovered from Thandi Kassi area of Rajouri about a month back.
The dead body of young Shabnam, daughter of Suleman Khan, resident of Chawala village and presently residing at Thandi Kassi, was recovered by police from an isolated place in the same area. The police shifted the body for postmortem in District Hospital. In the preliminary report, the police found that deceased’s neck bore some marks of violence. The cause of death was found to be consumption of poisonous stuff and also blockade of respiratory system.
SP Rajouri, Mubassar Lattiffi constituted a police team which started investigations. During probe the police established that two youth with same name Sagir, developed some relations with the girl and lured her for marriage. When the girl became pregnant they moved to the two local clinics for the abortion along with the girl. When they could not succeed, they made plan to eliminate the girl and they called her to an isolated place. They offered her cold drink mixing some poisonous stuff in it. When the girl became unconscious, they also gagged her by pressing from throat. After killing her they fled. The police also arrested their friend Shakil, son of Bashir of Rajouri who accompanied them to private hospitals.
The accused identified as Sagir, son of Rashid, resident of Gurdan Walla and Sagir, son of Sadiq, resident of Rajouri confessed their guilt during sustained interrogation. They were finally arrested and put behind the bars. A murder case has been registered against them.
