UDHAMPUR, Mar 6: A young girl allegedly attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze in her home at village Malhad, here last night.
According to the police, the girl, namely Nilam (18), daughter of Darshn Kumar of village Malhad Udhampur, used kerosene oil for attempting self-immolation. The family members rushed her to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Rehambal Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
