JAMMU, Sept 7: A 20-year-old boy died due to roof collapse in Nai Basti area of Jammu.
“Amit son of Tar Singh, resident of Udhampur, along with his younger sister was sitting in a room at their rented accommodation in Nai Basti area of Jammu when a part of the roof of the house collapsed and fell on them, late last night,” Police sources said.
Sources said both brother and sister sustained grievous injuries in the mishap and they were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where Amit succumbed to his injuries at about 10:30 PM.
“After conducting all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the incident,” sources added.
