JAMMU, Sept 14: In connection with Hindi Divas, Yuva Hindi Lekhak Sangh (YHLS) organized a Kavi Sammelan at Jammu.
The programme was presided over by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr Neelam Saraf and Prof Parvinder Kour.
During the occasion, the poets touched different topics of present life, language and nation in their poetry. The poets who recited poems include Raghav Khajuria, Arvind Sharma, Sonia Upadhyay, Sunil Sharma, Pawan Khajuria, Sham Bihari, Sudhir Mahajan, Maharaj Krishn Santoshi, Sanjeev Bhasin, Sushil Begana, Sharda Sahni, Shakunt Deepmala, Aruna Sharma, Rama Sharma, Nirmal Vinod, Kunwar Shakti Singh, Neeru Sharma, Ashok Kumar and Dr Raj Kumar.
Shantmanu also regaled the audience with his poems depicting vast experience of the poet. He favoured simple language and upheld the simplicity of the life.
On the occasion, noted Hindi poet, Ashok Kumar donated Rs 50,000 to Yuva Hindi Lekhak Sangh.
The programme was compared by Yogita Yadav, secretary, Yuva Hindi Lekhak Sangh. Dr Parvinder Kour presented the welcome note while vote of thanks was presented by Ashok Kumar.
