JAMMU, Oct 17: Despite back stepping by the main sponsor of the movie for some untoward reasons, “Yeh Meri Kahani Hai…Damini” is all set to hit the silver screen at Indira Multiplex on November 1.
This was stated by Director of the movie, Shahid Kazmi during a press conference here today. Parvinder Pal Singh (Lucky), Producer of the Movie was also present on the occasion.
Kazmi stated that earlier the movie was titled “Damini…the victim”, but due to the problem in the title registration, the name of the movie has now been changed to “Yeh Meri Kahani Hai…Damini” with “Yeh Meri Kahani Hai” as the title track of the movie.
“We break the agreement with our main sponsor Gallon Builders India Private Limited as the owner of the latter Mohammad Anwar was demanding some unacceptable favours from them”, Kazmi added.
Parvinder Pal Singh while speaking appealed the Government to make the movie tax free.
“Since this movie is based on a social issue, this is our request to the Government to make the movie tax free as a number of schools are willing to come to see the movie and support the cause,” Singh added.
The singing, music and lyrics department was headed by Shubdeep Singh in collaboration with Ashu Kumar, Vineet Singh and Jaganjot Singh, Parvinder said, adding that the movie also filmed a special appearance of famous Bollywood Actor Raghubir Yadav.
Among others present were Sonam Manhas, Arjun Manhas, Raja Sarfraz, Shammi Malhotra, JR Sagar, Lalita Tapsvi and Vansheen Suri.
