JAMMU, June 18: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a session on “Campus to Corporate: Corporate expectations and attitude training”, a knowledgeable session for the pre- final and final year students of YCET.
The key value of these sessions is that it helps to turn young talent into tomorrow’s leaders. It also helps in increasing employee satisfaction and decrease in employee turnover.
The session began with welcome address by Rajneesh Magotra, HoD Civil Department, YCET. He welcomed the resource person Nidhi Jamwal (B.Tech,CSE, SRM University Chennai, MBA from IMS, University Topper of the batch. Area of specialization – HR & Marketing.)
Nidhi is currently working as Chief Coordinator in IMS since 2015.She is handling academic and administrative operations. She also provides Soft Skill Coaching for Corporate around Coimbatore & Chennai.
She started the session with introduction on the Campus to Corporate: Corporate Expectations and Attitude Training. She further continued with addressing the students to the benefits of Resume: How to make resume, she explained how a good resume can give students an edge over other competitors.
Nidhi Singh Jamwal then discussed industry expectations and key characteristics that a candidate must exhibit in order to be a competent employee for the organization, such as commitment, loyalty, self-assurance, and teamwork.
She also encouraged students to take classes outside of their regular track education beginning in the first semester in order to develop their skills and become more marketable.
The session was summed up with the vote of thanks by Lovneesh Talwar, HoD Electrical Department,YCET .
This session was organized by training and placement cell, well coordinated by Er. Rajneesh Magotra, HoD Civil Department, YCET.
