This has reference to the news item ‘Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Leh to give boost to tourist arrival’ DE July 31.
The people of Ladakh division had been pleading for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra since many years, but nobody in successive Government gave a serious thought to this proposal. The people have received mere assurance and nothing else. If the State Government pleads the cause sincerely and brings it to its logical conclusion it would surely be a great step towards improving the economic condition of people here. Ladakh division has the distinction of having a unique culture, language and tradition. Today tourists throng not merely to see natural landscape of the region but also get fascinated with this unique civilisation. The yatra if started, would bring people of the country more closer to the people of Ladakh and foster communal harmony and brotherhood in the country.
The people of Ladakh must assertively plead this noble cause.
