JAMMU, Sept 20: A meeting of Board of Directors (BoDs) of JK Dairy Federation was today held under the chairmanship of Yasha Mudgul, Commissioner Secretary Cooperative. The meeting reviewed the progress of White Revolution in J&K and its benefit to grass root level connected stakeholders. Besides, Commissioner Secretary, Yasha Mudgul the meeting was attended by Ashok, Thakur (Director NAFED). A.K. Agarwal RCDF Rajasthan, Kalyan Badra, national level Dairy Consultant, Dr. Jyoti Swaroop M.D. Uniti Cooperative, Rajesh Gupta in charge LEAD J&K, Sanjeev Arora, Director Sahara Cooperative and Darshan Choudhary, orginising secretary, Sahakar Bharti.
While speaking Yasha Mudgul said that cooperative play a crucial role in development of our country, but besides their significant role they must ensure transparency, accountability and good cooperation. She emphasized that transparency and accountability are the cornerstones of performance of an organization which reinforces the need to conduct such Board meetings. Ashok Thakur, while addressing the participants appreciated the Dairy Federation in organizing the benefit and knowledge upgradation of information connected with the White Revolution for the farmers of U.T. He said being a surplus milk product U.T. the system should be channelized so that the grass root level connected person should get its benefits. He expressed the hope that the Federation will do this job perfectly.
Kalyan Badra said that to enhance the knowledge and to gain better appreciation and the issues involved for its effective implementation. “We are always at the disposal of Federation’’. Dr. Jyoti Swaroop gave detail presentation of Uniti in cooperative sector. Rajesh Gupta and Bikram Singh also shared their views for the development of cooperative. The Board of Directors participated in the meeting included Vikram Dogra Chairman , Gh. Mohd. Malik, vice chairman, Sushma Devi secretary and Sunil Chowdhary, Tanveer Rafiq, Ab. Rashid Bhat – Abhinesh Khajuria, Showkat Hussain Paray, Mehraj Krishan and Bikram Singh all directors. The welcome address and vote of thanks was presented by Vikrant Dogra Chairman Dairy Federation. He said that the directors and members of Federation are selected on rich experience based in cooperative and Dairy FPOs. He complimented the Department of Cooperative who under the guidance of Yasha Mudgul have greatly helped in architecting the structure of Dairy Federation.
