SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Hakim Mohd. Yaseen, Member Legislative Assembly, Khansahib, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Yaseen apprised the Governor about issues related to the socio-economic development of his constituency and certain matters relating to the forthcoming polls in the State.
The Governor urged Mr. Yaseen to take all possible steps to ensure the timely implementation of all important Centrally Sponsored Schemes and particularly see that the welfare promotion programmes improve the lot of the neglected segments of the population.
Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron, National Panthers Party also called on Mr Vohra.
Prof Singh discussed with the Governor several matters relating to the forthcoming election process in the State and certain issues concerning the transparency and accountability of the administrative apparatus.
