JAMMU, June 30: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) has criticized the Government for betraying hundreds of waiting list candidates who were eagerly waiting for issuance of orders in their favour as was promised by the Chief Minister and other concerned Ministers from time to time.
The YAIKS, which held an emergency meeting here today under the leadership of R K Bhat its president in the light of Government decision to call fresh advertisements by giving three years age relaxation for displaced youth said granting of age relaxation will not be beneficial for these youth who are already in waiting list as they can’t compete with the fresh candidates in terms of merit.
The meeting said it is a total betrayal with those displaced youth who left their jobs in private sector after being promised of jobs in State Government under PM’s return and rehabilitation package.
The meeting said that the decision of Government has now created a great confusion and alleged that it indicates that the Government in league with some Apex Committee members were trying to sabotage the long pending demand of the community demanding jobs for over aged youth who are the main victims of terrorism.
YAIKS asked these Apex Committee members to refrain from supporting such policies of the Government, which will play with the career of the waiting list candidates. It demanded that the waiting list candidates be immediately absorbed against 1500 pending posts and the fresh advertisement be issued for another 3000 posts.
The meeting said that when the Government has already amended SRO 412 of 2009 why could not it make another amendment for the absorption of pending merit list.
