JAMMU, Jan 18: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) held a protest outside Governor House here and demanded implementation of Court order issued in favour of 221 candidates.
Large number of KP youth assembled outside Raj Bhawan here and staged protest. They raised slogans in favour of their demands.
The protestors while highlighting the demands appealed the Governor to intervene for immediate filling up of the remaining 4000 posts out of sanctioned 6000 jobs under PMs special employment package for Kashmiri migrants including the selection of pending teachers and 221 writ petitioners.
They stated that the Division Bench of Jammu and Kashmir has given directions to the respondents (Govt) to accommodate the appellants within two months but the Court order is still pending for its implementation due to negligence and bias approach of the concerned authorities towards KP community.
RK Bhat, president, YAIKS, while addressing the protestors said that it is very unfortunate on the part of concerned authorities, which have failed to implement the High Court judgment within stipulated time bound period of two months.
“These 221 candidates are the genuine and deserving. It is last chance for them for the Government jobs as they are at the verge of getting over aged. They are the main sufferers of the militancy”, he added.
In case this demand is not being met within three days, YAIKS will change the strategies, policies and modes of agitation and for any untoward incident, the concerned authorities will be responsible.
Among others who addressed the protestors included Ajay Safaya, Sunil Dhar, Ajay Koul, Amit Raina, Sunil Bhat, Ajay Raina, Manoj, Princy Kumari and Advisors DN Bhat and Shuban.
