JAMMU, Sept 28: Chief Content Officer with Zee Special Projects, Shailja Kejriwal has noted that content writing in Indian media houses at present is concentrating more on business rather than making value based programmes which one can even watch with family.
One of the most celebrated names in TV content industry, Kejriwal, who created path breaking contents with Zee Zindagi, in a media interaction here today said that she aims to bridge the gap between India and Pakistan.
Launched in 2014 – ‘Zindagi’ was widely appreciated across India for its storytelling and focused Pakistani serials and the channel managed to become an instant hit within Indian viewers with its serials like ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’, ‘Humsafar’ etc. However, the channel was put off air in 2017 when relations between India and Pakistan deterred.
Now, owing to Shailja’s concerted efforts, the channel has been revived and she believes that the ‘common entertainment’ platform will indeed rekindle the hearts of two nations once again.
Earlier this year, Zindagi was launched once again on Indian television as a ‘value added service’ on DTH platforms like Tata Play, Dish TV and D2H.
After its successful launch as a value-added service on the DTH platforms, Zindagi recently launched on Airtel as a value-added service and will bring to audiences an exciting line-up of shows each month.
The line-up for October includes Sher-E-Zaat starting 3rd October at 5:30 pm starring the very talented Mahira Khan, known for her acting prowess.
