JAMMU, Aug 25: Post-Graduate Department of Hindi concluded 2-day Workshop on Research Methodology, here today.
Prof Rekha Chowdhary, Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu, was the chief guest while Dean Languages, Prof R K Mishra, Department of Buddhist Studies was the key person in the inaugural session of the workshop.
Prof Veer Bharat Talwar, Professor of Hindi in Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and Prof Vinod Taneja , ex-faculty member Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, were the main key resource persons in the workshop.
45 scholars from university and colleges participated in the workshop.
Earlier, Prof Parmeshwari Sharma, HoD Hindi, welcomed the guests.
In the key address, Prof Mishra discussed the significance of the research and expressed curiosity to be the main seed and corner stone for conducting research.
Prof Rekha congratulated Department of Hindi in taking this initiative and remarked that such a practice otherwise should have been organized by the Dean Research.
Prof O P Dwivedi gave formal vote of thanks, while Prof Neelam Saraf, Dean Academic Affairs and senior most Professor in Hindi, was also present in the inaugural ceremony. The faculty members, Dr Rajni Bala, Dr Anju Thapa (DDE) and Purshotam also participated in the programme.
The workshop was conducted in four sessions. Prof Veer Bharat Talwar was the key resource person in the first and third sessions. The second and fourth session was chaired by Prof Vinod Taneja.
Prof Parvinder Kaur was the coordinator of the programme. In the concluding session, certificates were distributed to the participants.
The workshop was organized under the convenorship of Prof Parmeshwari Sharma, Head of the Department of Hindi.
