Workshop on ‘Patents & IPRs’ organized at JU

JAMMU, Feb 19: J&K State Science Technology and Innovation Council & School of Biotechnology organized one day workshop on “Patents &IPRs”at School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu here this morning.
Prof. R.D. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu inaugurated the workshop. He stressed upon the importance of Patents, Copyrights and Registration and encouraged the scholars to bring together innovations of the State and help them in understanding the dynamics of Patenting.
Welcome address was presented by Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Director, School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu. The expert lectures were delivered by TarunBansal, Chief Product Evaluator, Centre for Future and Co-founder Sagacious Research, New Delhi Prof. V. Verma, Director, School of Biotechnology, SMVDU, Katra, Prof. R.K. Raina, IIIM, Jammu (ex-Scientist G & consultant), Prof. Sanjay Gupta, Director, Law School, Jammu Univesity and Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Law School, Jammu University.
Among others, who attended the workshop, included Prof. Keshav Sharma, Registrar, JU, J.K. Sharma, Director, Colleges Development, JU, Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Special Secretary to V.C., JU, Prof. R.K. Ganjoo, Prof. Deepankar Singh Gupta, Prof. V. Verma, Dean & Director School of Biotechnology, SMVDU, Katra.
