KATRA, Nov 20: A workshop organized by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) was held at Katra to conduct a comprehensive review of the implementation and compliance framework of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY).
The review was led by B K Agrawal, Chief Controller of Accounts, Ministry of Labour & Employment, and focused on the performance of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), along with its associated establishments, affiliated units, and contractors.
Opening the session, Mahesh Kumar Sharma, FA/CAO of SMVDSB, provided an overview of the various establishments functioning under the Shrine Board. He detailed their operational structure, staffing patterns, and the wide range of activities carried out through their affiliated units and contractual arrangements. Sharma highlighted that PMVBRY-2025 is a vital national programme aimed at boosting formal employment and enhancing the social security ecosystem.
He urged all establishments to extend full cooperation in adopting the scheme, emphasizing that the incentives offered by the Government of India significantly benefit employers hiring new workers. He also drew attention to the complementary advantages under ESIC and the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign-2025, encouraging establishments to maximize these opportunities.
The workshop centred on improving compliance mechanisms, simplifying procedures, and ensuring seamless and accurate implementation of PMVBRY benefits across all associated entities. Satish Kumar Sharma, Joint CEO of SMVDSB, was also present during the deliberations.
In his concluding remarks, Sumeet Singh, Regional PF Commissioner-I, urged all participating establishments to register themselves and their contractors under the scheme to fully avail its benefits. He elaborated on the features of the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign-2025, stressing that the six-month window offers employers a crucial chance to update and regularize employee enrolments by paying only a nominal penalty of Rs 100.
The session ended with a shared commitment from the Shrine Board and stakeholder establishments to further strengthen coordination for effective and timely execution of Government of India initiatives.
