PAMPORE, May 30: A series of two day Regional Workshops on ‘Entrepreneurship Development amongst minorities and lending programmes of NMDFC’ concluded at JKEDI, Pampore campus today.
The workshops were aimed to provide entrepreneurship development training to present beneficiaries, prospective beneficiaries, and the trainees of vocational courses of various schemes of NMDFC. The participants were provided by, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (J&KEDI) and Jammu and Kashmir State Women’s Development Corporation (WDC) which are the two State Channelizing Agencies of NMDFC in J&K.
The workshops were jointly organised by J&KEDI and National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) to enable the existing manpower with entrepreneurial and managerial skill and the latest know-how about setting up an enterprise.
Each programme comprised of eight (8) technical sessions on (a) NMDFC schemes (b) how to set up an enterprise (c) how to manage an enterprise (d) characteristics of an entrepreneur, (e) Role of Banks and availability of Finance, (f) Accounting procedures (g) Marketing procedures (h) Role of DIC, SCA, State Industrial & Finance Corporation etc.
With 50 female entrepreneurs in the first workshop and 43 male entrepreneurs in the second workshop, a total of 93 participants were covered. Dr. S.K Islam, Sr. faculty JKEDI distributed the certificates to the participants of the second Regional workshop at the concluding session.
