She highlighted the important role of employment generation programmes in reducing the problem of unemployment. She further added that such programmes enhance the horizon of students and aid them in taking timely decisions that will maximize the benefits of these programmes and provide a proper road map for their lives.
Dr Dushyant Singh deliberated on the different innovative schemes and programmes that have been initiated from time to time with a view to eradicate or at least to minimize the problem of unemployment. He laid emphasis on the importance of these schemes keeping in view the dearth of Government jobs. Furthermore, he focussed on the schemes which are especially meant for female students to be taken after graduation. He further added that the students may become future entrepreneurs and start their own ventures, which would allow them to create jobs rather than only look for employment.
The Program was also attended by Dr Ram Singh, Dr Joginder Singh, Prof Shivali Rattan, Prof Rashu, Prof Purvaiya and Prof Sukhvinder Kour.
Prof Pawan Kumar Gupta (convener, Career Counseling Cell of the College) concluded the event with a formal vote of thanks to all the participants and guests.
