JAMMU, Apr 10: A two day workshop on “Broadcasting Skills” organized by PG Deptt of Home-Science, Government College for Women (GCW) Parade Jammu, concluded here today.
VK Sambyal, Station Director, All India Radio, was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Hemla Aggarwal, Principal of the College along with other faculty members was also present.
Satish Vimal, Programme Executive, KK Lidhoo (PEX) and Nitish Arora (PEX), from Prasar Bharti, Radio Kashmir Jammu, were the resource persons for the workshop.
During the workshop, the students were trained in Script Writing, Feature Writing, Short Stories, Documentaries, Interview Skills, Voice Dispatch and Edutainment programmes.
In the valedictory session, certificates were given to the participants by the chief guest.
Dr Hemla Aggarwal, Principal of the College, while speaking on the occasion said that the workshop will help the students to enhance their personality and provide them job opportunities in various fields like Radio Jockey, Anchor, Commentator, interviewing, etc.
The workshop concluded with vote of thanks by Prof (Dr) Aruna Dubey, HoD PG Department of Home Science.
