Working still smashed, 4 held

RAJOURI, June 3: The police arrested four persons who were part of a gang involved in illegal manufacturing and sale of liquor in Taryath area of Rajouri district.
SSP Rajouri, Chandan Kohli said that a team of police headed by Police Post, Incharge Taryath, Ajaz Mirza under the supervision of SHO Dharamsal, Rajinder Sharma, SDPO Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza was on routine patrolling in Khatini village of Taryath. They saw some persons present at a location who tried to escape from the spot soon after noticing the cops.
However, alert cops intercepted all the four persons and recovered 20 litres of liquor and 90 litres of lahaan from their possession. The working still in the area was also smashed and the utensils used in distillation unit were also seized.
All the four persons have been arrested. They were identified as Pritam Lal, Pawan Kumar and Bittu Kumar, sons of Paras Ram and Suresh Kumar, son of Prem Kumar- all residents of Kathini in Taryath. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered against the accused persons.
