REASI, Mar 15: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today said focused attention is being paid to all round development of State on modern lines. He said work on the road map to address development aspirations including those living in far-flung areas has been already started.
“With active support from the Union Government all round development of every nook and corner of the State besides ensuring equitable development of all regions and sub-regions will be taken up,” he added.
He was addressing a large attended public meeting at Reasi. MoS Education, Culture and Information, Priya Sethi was also present on the occasion
Dr Singh said Government is for people and at their door step. He added that corruption will not be tolerated at any level and transparency will be brought in every field. He further added that Government is making all out efforts to boost tourism in the three regions of the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Priya Sethi reiterated committed of the Government to bring accountability and transparency in all the spheres of Government working.
MLA Reasi, Ajay Nanda in his speech presented a charter of demands of the people of Reasi town. The charter enlisted various demands pertaining to planned development and creation of better sanitation facilities in the town.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information Priya Sethi convened a meeting of officials to review the functioning of Education Department at Reasi. MLA Reasi, Ajay Nanda was also present on the occasion.
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Reasi, Principal DIET and Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs).
The Minister held extensive deliberations on infrastructure, staff position and implementation of Mid Day Meal Scheme, disbursement of scholarships and availability of basic minimum facilities like furniture, drinking water and toilet facilities in the schools. She also reviewed the schemes under SSA, RMSA and Sakshar Bharat Mission.
The Minister on the occasion laid stress on maintaining hygienic condition while serving the mid-day-meal to the pupils, besides urging teachers to keep themselves abreast with latest information and techniques of teaching to improve learning outcomes in schools.
