DODA, Sept 11: In a major crackdown on timber smugglers the sleuths of Forest Department here today seized a Wood Cutter Machine from the Forest Range of Bhallessa during a raid.
Range Officer Bhallessa, Suresh Jamwal said action will be taken against the persons involved.
The entire operation was carried out under the supervision of Divisional Forest Officer Bhaderwah, Chander Shekhar.
Meanwhile, forest officials of Range Bhallessa in Bhaderwah Forest Division seized six Mechanical Cutters from different locations.
Range Officer Bhallessa, Suresh Jamwal said, “Forest Division Bhaderwah has zero tolerance policy towards timber smugglers. We have launched special drives in collaboration with Forest Protection Force and J&K Police against the use of Mechanical Cutters.”
