Sir,
While Railway Budget of this year has brought lot many promises for the travelling public, it has been attentive towards women passengers in particular. The security and safeguard for women especially in long distance trains was never addressed by the previous Governments as it has been planned now. Nearly at more than 330 railway points there will be CCTV cameras installed which is really a good news. This will surely give a sense of security to women passengers.
Not only this even installing GPS in every coach of a train and the WiFi too are going to add to the security system of the public , specially for the female passengers.30% reservation for women passengers is one of the best steps in this regard. A lot of difficulties were otherwise faced by the female students who are regularly dependent on railways for travelling. Helpline No. 182 is another step in this direction and no doubt can go a long way in checking growing crime in railways against the women passengers. Thanks Suresh Prabhu.
Yours etc….
