SRINAGAR, Nov 24: Police today said a woman slipped to death in Budgam district while a girl died after she fell in a water reservoir in Bandipora distict.
A police spokesman said a woman identified as Zeba Begum of Shunglipora village Khag in Budgam district had gone to nearby forests for collecting the fire wood where she slipped and received head injury, resulting in her on spot death. “After completion of legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites,” he said.
The spokesman said a 13 year-old girl namely Rubeena Bano of Tanghath fell into a under construction water reservoir at Hapathnar in Bandipora district, resulting in her on spot death. “The body of deceased girl was fished out and after completion of legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites,” the spokesman said.
