Srinagar, July 5: A woman in south Kashmir’s Srigufwara area of Anantnag district allegedly attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze last evening.
A police spokesman said a 40 year old woman sprinkled kerosene oil on her body and set herself ablaze at her home.
She was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard, the spokesman added.
