JAMMU, May 7: A 25-year old woman was murdered under mysterious circumstances with her husband emerging as prime suspect near Gold Gym in Bahu Plaza area of the City South.
She has been identified as Sheetal wife of Tota, a resident of Balmiki Colony.
The wowan had been murdered with a knife, police said.
SHO Trikuta Nagar police station Inspector Parvez Sajjad rushed to the spot and shifted the body of GMC Jammu for post-mortem.
Police repeatedly called slain woman’s husband but he didn’t turn up and went underground. Police said the Woman’s husband was prime suspect in the killing.
A hunt has been launched to nab him, police added and said reasons behind the murder couldn’t be ascertained immediately.
